Just watched The Amateur — and wow, the acting felt so real.
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting to be this pulled in emotionally, but the lead actor absolutely nailed it. There’s something about the way he carried the role — it wasn’t flashy or overdone, it was just raw and believable. You could literally feel the weight he was carrying, the pain, the desperation, all without him saying much. His expressions, the silence between the lines, the way his body reacted in tense moments — it all felt real, like I was watching a real person go through something unthinkable.
There’s one scene (no spoilers) where you can just see the moment everything shifts in his head. It hit hard. You forget it’s acting. It’s that natural.
If you're into movies where the performance makes you feel like you're right there with the character, The Amateur delivers. Easily one of the most grounded performances I’ve seen in a long time.
