Am I to believe in this cautionary fairy tale that in 28 short years we have advanced so far in technology yet Earths demise is a 1960s style nuclear exchange ? Where is the visual payoff? There is no hint or vauge explanation for the planets condition. What does Earth look like for the two astronauts who chose to come back to be with their families ? Come on Clooney it's a sci-fi pic. We needed to see a Charlton Heston's character pounding the sand after discovering lady liberty blown to bits on the beach..Dam you Clooney Dam you all to hell..
