As a Coloradan, I was horrified when this happened. The documentary is really well done and its rather ominous to hear Heemayer's own voice. He faced uphill battles in life like we all do. I think he internalized everything and likely had undiagnosed mental illness. It's a miracle that no one was killed in this devastating rampage.
