IF YOU ARE A TRUE HORROR FAN YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED The marketing was phenomenal but the movie itself was lackluster. The beginning had brilliant disturbing imagery, a story being built, the music was eerie and the sound effects played a part in a lot of jump scares. And to be honest, to me, there wasn’t really fear I was feeling, just jump scares. Jump scares associated with the sound mixing of bangs and knocks. The acting was well done, except with Nic. Nic as longlegs was super disappointing. I believed that Nic was not just gonna be in an old woman costume, I fully believed that he would transform into a disturbing demon looking creature. The marketing featured the female lead’s heartbeat reaching a high BPM indicating that she was absolutely terrified seeing Nic in his “full form”, this gave me the idea that we are going to see Nic in like a creature like state, and I was sadly let down. His character was not well acted, not trying to sound biased, let me explain. In the beginning of his appearances, he was creepy which was good but then we started seeing WAY TOO MUCH OF LONGLEGS. They didn’t feel like a worker of the devil but just a crazy grandma. The random singing, I know his character had a fascination with rock music, from me picking up his characters traits but the singing was really unnecessary at times, this part in its own made the movie seem like a comedy. And in horror movies I am not impressed with that much silliness. I want to be scared, I want to feel the authentic FEAR, but I did not. The ending was bad. Bad as in, that’s it? There’s no more than that? Maybe there is a chance to make a sequel but I wish movie productions didn’t want to milk an original idea to make sequels or anything following. If you like horror, any horror, yeah go see it BUT if you are wanting to watch this to feel creeped out of your mind or you want to feel on the edge of your seat, do not watch it. You will be disappointed. IF YOU WANT TO LEAVE THE THEATER SCARED DO NOT WATCH BECAUSE YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!!!
