HOD is lacking in many areas. The characters are not as solid and convincing in their roles. In contrast, the characters in GOT easily connect with the audience. The writing feels stretched and involves unnecessary elements. For example, an experienced princess Rhaenys died at the hands of an inexperienced boy just because he had a big dragon. This shows that experience has no advantage in war. I would give three stars.
