Very impressive overall movie that I greatly enjoyed. The mix of comments here are also interesting. Instead of reiterating what many are already saying, I feel compelled to underscore what stood out from the beginning — VERY limited looks at Bonnie and Clyde until the ending. The idolizing Beatty/Dunaway portrayal was also well done, but this is first retelling I found memorable since that 1967 hit. It’s well-paced yet nuanced. I’m not a big Costner fan. Woody is almost always great. Both had me convinced I was watching the actual highwaymen at work. I’m sure Hollywood contrivances helped make the entire film actually work, but the characters and acting in general — not just by the main stars —made it particularly entertaining. Superb period cinematography and directing round out the impact down to the haunting images of Bonnie and Clyde at the end.
