I’m trying to get through this movie because I enjoy this type of movie when it’s done well but everything about it is just ridiculous.

Charles melton is absolutely fantastic as a man trying to escape his trapped life. I am still thinking about the film long after watching. Personally didn’t care for the music but so many interesting things going on in the film. All the kids are fantastic including Georgie who Julianne Moore’s character had with her first husband

The writing is terrible. Most of the acting is not good which is shocking considering who cast it. Especially bad is the girl playing Rose and the girl playing the psychopathic hitwoman. I continually felt like everything that came out of anyone’s mouth was scripted and not what a real person would say in any situation. So many cliches. So much that was unrealistic. Jumping off a second story face first into a pile of broken glass with not a scratch on her and then just walking away, for example. And then some irritating things like continuity issues- leaving one scene going somewhere that is a few minutes away and it’s suddenly pitch black out then cutting to a scene that’s supposed to be simultaneous and it’s broad daylight again. Decided to give up on it after 5 episodes despite loving the genre.
