Like... I had really unreasonably high expectations for this show. I've read all the books twice and played every game, including gwent and Thronebreaker. Henry Cavill absolutely nails it - it's pretty clear that he was a huge fan of the series; and after watching season 1, I can't imagine anyone else filling the role. I have zero complaints about the show. Where there was creative liberty, it was done tastefully and fit the narrative well. The show stays very true to the books' in both form and content. The first few episodes cause a lot of confusion, but I promise it gets tied up and everything makes sense as the series goes on. Absolutely wonderful show - will be starting my rewatch soon :)
