What is wrong with you Netflix? Even with or without the promise of a Season 2, the last episode, episode 5 was disappointing (also what sort of crap Limited Series only has 5 episodes?). I smell some major corporate bullshit. Fyi, the show was excellent. But we never get to solve the mystery! Are these women actually Sirens? Is it a metaphor? Who the hell knows. I never in a million years would have started watching, if I knew they were going to leave it like that… just nothing. It was a nothing final episode. Cliffhanger mid episode, no resolution. So much left unsaid. What it feels like is Netflix is cranking out shit content that they never have to follow through on, because they don’t want actors or anyone else get paid (god, what commitment phobes). What happened to the golden days of streaming when we paid monthly because we were invested in a story, it’s characters and were willing to come back season after season and keep paying for our subscription, even if some seasons or some episodes were better than others, but hey that’s okay because—because we we’re invested in a story. A product. You dumb dumb clueless executives. You want to keep growing subscribers? Invest in quality. A product that keeps giving. Enough with the one night stands. (You didn’t even have the decency to finish.) Oh but other than that? Show was phenomenal. Love that cast.
