This was a fantastic film with a great cast.
There was an irony that Kempton Bunton was sending scripts in to the BBC whilst refusing to pay a TV licence... But then his campaign was never really an anti BBC stance. He saw the two things completely as separate things as what he was fighting for was that the vulnerable ( the elderly and those who had fought in the war), should be able to have a licence paid for by the government; something that only came into play for the elderly in the year 2000 some 39 years later.
Some of his arguments still stand today such as why everyone with a TV has to pay for a licence to the BBC when they might choose to watch other channels.
