Unpopular opinion, but I actually don't think it's that bad, it's really not great but it's not the last air bender bad. Yeah it's kind of trashy for an adaptation of a much loved cartoon, both in cultural representation particularly in regards to Goku and the storyline as a whole was too quick and paced oddly. There however are nostalgic moments in this movie that I did wholly enjoy as well as the instances of funny dialogue. Sure, this isn't the Goku and Co we all know and love and that it couldn't be further than the source material. But if you're in to loosely fight driven stories then it's an easy watch. If you're hard pressed about fictional characters from space and cartoons, I suggest perhaps watching an anime or a documentary. 3.5/5
