Maha Deiv

The movie's theme is good but the way it has been pictured makes it a bit too dragging and boring. We can predict every scene. For some reason, until the interval I couldn't believe the movie had not entered the core story. After the turn of events with SJ Surya, the movie picks its pace. But that is only in the last 45 mins. Vijay has shouldered the whole movie and has nothing to crib against, a mass hero, beyond doubt. Of the 3 heriones, Nithya Menon scores high. Nithya needs to watch her weight as well. The theme has been handled over and over by several heroes already, right from Captain in Ramana - "Medical service as a Business". Felt songs are a bit too many and were inserted just for the heck. Vadivelu's role is good, though he looks tad old for the character. Oh, yes, Sathyaraj has also acted in the movie. A good treat for Hard core Vijay fans, for others its just another one of Vijay's movie. 3 stars ***
