Tarantino proves he's good at writing engaging dialogues about nothing, and that's it. The film, like its title, has a promising punch in the beginning, but nothing concrete at all, anywhere. Immaterial characters, invisible plot.. All we can remember are ultra wide shots.

Very subtle screenplay doing a powerful role in the film. The nuances and beats of it can leak if you are not watching closely. Dustin Hoffman is brilliant as an awakening father, Meryl Streep's performance is so supportive to this awakening. One of the best written films.

A very intimate portrayal of a free-spirited man's bachelorhood and then domestic life.

Montage of action sequences filmed to exhibit Lee's capabilities.

A thrilling game for life that plays over a layered, minimalistic screenplay.

Predictable scares. Paper-thin story.

Works well as a depiction of what happened. But as a story, it shifts from one narrative to another that we don't know who's story it is.. Rani's, Alauddin Khalji's, or Ratan's?

In the end, the most interesting storyline and plot points appear as afterthoughts in a film that asks us to focus on two insipid, unwanted romances.
