Wow was I disappointed. I have lots of love for the original animated series and was hyped for a Batman set in the 60s. But this show just feels lacking. Its animation is slow, feels cheap, and looks ugly. I understand the animation is made to fit the era, but when there’s no action it’s very boring. Bruce Wayne/Batman feels like he has no personality. He’s as basic as Batman could be, and there’s nothing distinct about him. Batman swings like spiderman, at times has super strength, magically appears when the plot needs him to with no explanation. The show’s poster of him looks like he has more character than the actual version in the show. The show sets no introduction to this world of Gotham, to the era, of this Bruce Wayne. This version of Gotham feels empty, it doesn’t feel evil is in every corner, it doesn’t feel real. If anything, Bruce Wayne can easily fix this Gotham with financial support. There’s also a tremendous amount of plot holes for a show that is made to feel grounded, however this includes spoilers.
