I watched and rewatched teen wolf every chance I get since it came out till now, that's how much I love the series. In fact..I'm binging it right now. The movie wasn't bad because stiles or other iconic characters like theo, Mason, cory, or Issac weren't in it. It was bad because of the plot. The plot was just all over the place. First of all, I say this for myself and many others. I would have loved for the movie to have wrapped up the loose ends in season six, Monroe and how the pack defeated them. I would have loved to see Iiam become an alpha (maybe not an actual alpha considering he'd have to kill to get that) but a beta alpha with theo, Mason & cory in his pack, maybe even Hayden too if she came back. Fitting it into the plot somehow. I would have loved to learn more about Parish's power since we only see that he has connections to the wildhunt and the beast of gevedaun. I liked that they made lydia able to control her powers, but I would've loved to see her use it in a more innovative way, something fresh. There was no need for derek's son, I mean...whose the mother? Is it Breaden? Most certainly not, or else something needs to be explained as to why the child doesn't have any mixed features at all. If not Breaden then who? Why would they bring back Allison? I think that that was just a shock factor considering the fans wanted it to happen, so I can kind of understand why they did that but the way they did it felt off..I would've preferred if she was brought back to life by Lydia like in season 1 where Lydia brought back Peter. It would've made a lot more sense and, the nigitsune wouldn't be needed. The fact that they needed everyone to defeat such a goated villain in the series, only for him to be defeated by Derek's son?? That's stupid. And another plot hole..again. Stiles and Lydia can't be together because he'll die??woow... way to go. And the fact that Derek died was just sad..not because he died(well yes that too) but how he died..after being through so much in the series, he dies? That makes no sense. Derek has went through an entire change from beta, Omega and alpha. He was an example. Our morally grey character, going through so much and still being able to pick himself up and fight. He also reflected how him and Scott we're so much alike...speaking off. Why the hell didnt liam speak the entire show? Why didn't he speak to sScott..his alpha once? Or anyone for that matter. Ahem, where's Kira? Why bring in some new character that has no ties to anything? We expected kira to be cured or break the rules of her skinwalker journey somehow coming back with added benefits. I wanted Monroe to be taken down, I wanted to know more about Alex..remember him in season 6? I wanted to see if theo's loyalty will finally lie with Iiam? And although I'm a thiam lover, even if they didn't get together, I would've loved to see thiam happy once and for all. Jackson wasn't needed, I love Jackson but his role felt so off and the comedic relief wasn't there at all. All the characters seemed like they didn't know what to do. And alilsion, am I the only one that realised that Allison throughout her entire screen time was controlled by someone?? Kate, Gerard? Can she get character development? Please? Finally, I wanted see more of Scott's powers. Being a true alpha he must have some hidden benefits right? Or else the Alpha pack wouldn't want him in season 3. And cory, I would have loved to see more of his power. I would have loved to see the extra benefits of Derek's power being a full wolf. Overall, I was just so disappointed. I still love teen wolf as I said I'm binging it but that movie wasn't it. It was just a plot hole tbh.
