Honestly-this book developed the characters SO WELL in the beginning and then as more dirty little secrets were uncovered you get wild twists and turns and a lot of screaming from me. You want a book with relatable, righteous characters? This thing has it. You want a book where you love the side characters? You have it. This book made me scream, cry, take a twenty minute break to process it all, and it even caused several high pitched shrieks at midnight. This book is golden. Not going to lie, I loved it. I hate Xander for certain parts that caused me absolute pain and torture. If an author can do that and have me read it till the end with the book being thrown across the room not once-but twice out of anger or pure joy? It’s a book that is better than great. 100% recommended and will be recommended to fellow friends and readers so that they can suffer and enjoy the book all the same ways I have. Thanks Xander for an amazing book that made me want to punch you on page 291. Then I took a break and read again. Then I saw the first few lines of the next page. Then I took a very long break and debated torture. Then I read it and now-I’m still mad at you for it.
