Paul Muir

This version of Persuasion was a total waste of time. I can literally think of nothing positive about it other than Richard E Grants appearance. The dialogue was poor and not loyal to the original text, with many historical inaccuracies. Poorly cast with mediocre performances and no real weight or tension. I normally enjoy Jane Austin adaptations and am captured by the language and tradition of the time. This production had none of these qualities. Poor show indeed!
