half these reviews are of the actual physical stores. Christopher Lloyd highlights a decent cast of unknown actors that breathe life into this film that is boilerplate and enjoyable all at once. It felt like a really well polished College Film Student made it, and i mean that in a good way. Story telling points were made, foreshadowing done well enough that it's helpful to the story but not TOO blatant. Recommended for families and people that like Halloween but not all the blood and guts of more adult movies of the genre like... say Halloween/Freddie/anything not Hocus Pocus, Disney Channel, or Charlie Brown...

A solid reboot of a classic franchise. Let's hope we get the sequel it sets up, while also having a satisfying finish itself.

So boring. Had an ear ache on a plane watching this thought I lost my hearing until they popped hours later.... i was so scared this movie would be the last thing i heard. don't put yourself in that position. don't watch it. Saw it on Netflix and figured it was one of their crappy self-made usuals... but it actually went to theaters? woof...
