Bon divertissement! Belles images, belle musique, une histoire simple, une cause perdue, un méchant bien dégénéré, et des héros attendrissants, tout cela dans un univers mixant starwars, LOTR, Warhammer, et d'autres. Alors oui, les deux films ne gagneront pas d'Oscar, mais c'est une histoire simple bâtie sur des éléments efficaces, et le résultat final est vraiment satisfaisant! Je recommande.

Le dragon est original, très félin avec une tête d'insecte. L'histoire en tant que telle est un conte plausible et intéressant. Mais l'excès de paysages à l'ordinateur, le mauvais jeu d'acteurs, et le manque de réalisme en font un film de série B tout au plus.

I use to have these toys when I was young; seeing them on screen for the first time was a blast. But the characters are so shallow....I have to keep a star away.

Definitely an entertaining action/sci-fi movie, touching on serious issues related to the pervasive role of the US in global instability, and the potential dangers of digital war. The end is disappointing though, and I think it could have gone deeper into the ethical issues of war as practiced by the US and the western world in general.

One star for the jokes, and one star for the ants at the end; otherwise, it's painfully boring: orgy of CGI, actors are not convincing, a "story" out of nowhere, lots taken from Starwars, excessive affection, glorification, and an exceedingly annoying teenager.
