Hmmm, not as good as the first. Enough action with the infected to make it’ hide behind the hands’ scary. However the end scene was silly and the skull scene made me laugh- maybe I have a weird sense of humour. Worth a watch once, maybe wait until it’s available to stream

Interesting film that sequels the first. Great acting by Joaquin again. I wasn’t keen on the ‘musical’ part. It could have been a great film on its own merit without the need to make it different with the singing. I have nothing against Lady ga ga, she can sing but it felt, at times, like the lady ga ga show, a promotion of her per se.

I was hopeful for this film as it’s a Shyamalan film and whilst the suspension had me going for the first half it quickly became one of those films where unrealistic things happen and had me saying ‘ as if he would be able to do that’ etc. I really dislike those films. I like films to be realistic or complete fantasy, not a blur between so that the writer/director can fill the narrative. I was also, mistakenly, waiting for a twist that is usually Shyamalans forte. Oh well

A clever film that follows the life in an area over thousands of years but specifically Tom Hanks character. Lovely film for those that wonder about those who’ve lived in houses before them.

This is the best series I have ever watched. It gripped me from the start with the horror and suspense. Every episode left me wondering what the hell was going on so I’d end up watching several in a row even though I didn’t want to binge. They manage to keep the horror going. I did start to feel frustrated towards the end of season 3 and wanted a conclusion but as there is to be a season 4 I’m worried it will be over egged.

On the 3rd episode and loving it. Trying very hard not to binge watch as I want to savour this delight. It’s a nod to the 1973 film but original in its own right. Well worth a watch

Spoiler alert!!!! Whilst we watched the whole series we felt that there were too many tangents. It would have been a good enough storyline without the actual ghosts of the burning girls and the odd situation with Wriggly and Rosie

I watched this film twice in the space of 3 days. I still chuckle at certain scenes. Just my sort of comedy. Zac was hilarious in it.

Great film. Riveting from start to finish. Despite finding this new sort of role for Mchonaghey a while to take it was full of great action, emotion and makes you think. Well, well worth a watch!

A promising film with the cast. Starts off well with the anticipation of ‘ the end of the world’ with the oil tanker crashing and then not being sure what the owners of the house are up to. For me though this film offered neither the fast paced, destruction you get in most apocalyptic movies ( why are they strangely enjoyable?) nor the physiological aspect in how humans behave when disaster happens( the scene with Kevin Bacon was like all of The Walking Dead squeezed into 10minutes). I felt the acting was slightly below par but this was probably due to an awful script. Needless scenes thrown in( GH and Amanda getting drunk, dancing and resisting infidelity, again, in a forced 10 minutes). Also the ‘reverse’ racism towards ‘white peoples’? I’m not American so maybe don’t understand the complexity but is that acceptable now? Shouldn’t all racism be unacceptable? I watched the whole film and I wouldn’t say it’s not worth it but don’t have too many expectations- A Quiet Place it is not
