You’ll either like it or you’ll hate it. And you’ll probably know within the first 10 minutes.
I loved the cinematography and the music. The acting was incredible. Lighting is gorgeous. Loved the simplicity of the set with the creative use of mirrors and framing to add complexity. Those hauntingly beautiful trees in black and white lit like they did...delicious.
If you like movies with sweet endings, neatly tied loose ends, obvious purpose, and dialogue that makes sense 100% of the time and explains every aspect of the story this movie is not for you. This movie is raw, slow, and abrasive. It requires patience.
The chaos and unresolved, and often long-winded dialogue made this a poignant work of art that depicts real, messy, often infuriating and confusing love between two broken humans who have yet to heal from their pasts.
Overall I thought it was brilliant.
