Admittedly, after watching CNN’s Town Hall with Trump and his MAGA supporters…I was very disappointed by CNN’s leadership. Kaitlin was definitely not the right person to interview Trump. It felt more like watching a pseudo FOX segment.
I think CNN was at its best to watch in the evenings when Cuomo & Don Lemon were back to back. Firing Cuomo & moving Don Lemon to the morning show was a bad leadership move. I can’t put my finger on it but something didn’t/doesn’t click with the three/two hosts in the morning.
This may sound controversial but I didn’t realize how many people are clueless and easily swayed by lies, negativity, disinformation and conspiracy theories. The media & many politicians successfully capitalizes on this everyday.
Here are some examples. I read some comments praising Trump at the CNN Town Hall. Am I only one who thinks that every town hall should have a split between Democrats, Republicans and Independents as a better representation of our society? I’m a democrat and I still want to hear other views that exist even if their different from my own views.
For all the MAGA supporters - just imagine a society that doesn’t accept election results. Visit some third world countries. Imagine all the elections that happened here and every time someone looses it’s because it was rigged and/or linked to some discriminatory narrative??? In other words, black and brown people do not vote legally. That’s now become some politicians, house reps, governors default.
Again, the media perpetuates it.
Another example, self proclaimed billionaire Trump living in he’s marbled Florida home says he’s going to Make-America-Great-Again.. for who? Who was the economy great for…the very wealthy or the working class?? When I see the constituents in the red states outside of their trailer park homes & missing teeth being interviewed by reporters, I wonder are these people so clueless that they don’t demand that this billionaire and his cronies create policies that benefit them - the working class??? How about asking for better dental care, stronger medicare health benefits, affordable home ownership or grant programs/zero interest loans to make repairs to your home etc. I’ve digressed - CNN needs new leadership before their ratings plummet. I moved on to NewsNation.
