The action and stunts are enjoyable but with all the focus on spectacle the movie fails to make you actually care about the characters. The movie never allows us to get to know the characters because by the time anything character driven begins to happen it’s interrupted by a fight scene or car chase, which to be fair was awesome and enjoyable to watch. Chris Hemsworth fails to convince us to actually take him seriously as a villain. He’s to goofy, dumb and sometimes nice to evoke any sense that he is a threat to our lead. Overall an enjoyable movie but would have loved a more human/character driven story.

This movie is well shot with beautiful locations and music but other than that it almost entirely sucks. It tries to evoke emotion through comedy and tragedy but both attempts fall terribly flat. It’s not the lack of dialog that gives the characters zero qualities to even get the audience invested in their lives it’s just the fact that there is no character journey to follow. The forced comedy lacks any creativity and is far too obvious. When they do have a great comedic premise they refuse to lean into it and only gives the audience a glimpse of a potential laugh. This story is so predictable for a project presenting itself as having a fresh movie concept. Halfway through I was hoping the characters would all die off so I could stop watching this slog fest dressed as a thought provoking Indy film. They had all the right pieces to make a new, interesting and beautiful movie but ended up making what felt like a high school film project with a big budget.

Overload a terrible script with famous and talented actors to try save it and it’s still one of the most basic, bland and forgettable movies there is. It was supposed to be a comedy but oddly enough there was little humor and the jokes that were presented could barely muster up a single nose exhale. Overall, it could be assumed that the only reason the actors signed onto this amateur project was to collect the massive pay out Netflix was offering.
