The tone for the movie is set in the first moments as the prelude is narrated. "..known as the Dark Ages… and for f***ing good reason". Unnecessary swearing, cheap laughs and gallons of CGI gore. All traits of it's director's previous work. Screenplay has taken second place to mindless gore, choppy editing and poorly finished CGI. Despite having some great names in the cast, the acting is painful and the thick London accent many of the characters have is jarring. As a fan of Hellboy, I found this movie an insult.
