Mesmerizing ! I have no words to explain the fluidity of hindi language and the characterization of protagonists. It is but sad thing that our youth prefers to read english novels that too which have cheap romantic stories. They are never aware of the depth of the love that has been portrayed in this novel. This is the reason that the love aajkal is just another contract. Going back to the novel, I was already a fan of dharmavir bharti ji when I saw suraj ka satva goda, movie. Now when I have read this novel , it seems that i have for long not been able to touch the real essence of hindi literature romance so far. Although i would highly recommend mohan rakesh 's aashadh ka ek din wherein the pratogonist mallika and sudha of gunaho ka devta has lot of similarities in terms of sacrifice and love. Anyways the story is about platonic and unexpressed love. But still without expressing love, how sudha was able to give every sacrifice and expressed so much through her actions that is commendable. Chander is really a confuse and weak persona who fails to fight society for the sake of love. He instead chooses path of obediency but that do not take him anywhere. Finally he does what is called courage. Highly recommend and feel there should have been more stories such like that.

Though the movie was a laughing ride, but i think it was too stretched and bore topic. Also performance of the cast were great but we are also giving birth to many stereotypes when we tell a story to break some other stereotype. Like it is now becoming increasing normal to talk about not just sex with parents but now we expect parents also can openly talk about their sexual choices in life openly in front of children. We have forgotten that parents can be like friends but not friends. They have respect value and that should always be there. I think such movies rather work in metros and cities since people are bore out of their life and they have voyeuristic pleasure to watch the life of small towns people. Moden metros and cities values are ingested to small towns to create peace of cinema. Why not they make some movie where small town people have better values and they laugh of small mindset of people in cities. Why should metros and cities have all the fun??

Dnt know what happened to ppl who vote ion various reviews , guys this is just a little above average movie. Plot is unique to some extent but everything else is simple and easy to predict. Just to tell u if u plan a cool normal emtertaining movie then yes it is. But dnt take it more than. Most of the movie is easy to forget and nothing is there lasting. Poor Akshay kumar was not given much dialogues. Most of the time he only watches Kareena s big monologues although she does justify her role. Kiara is normal and Daljit is also okay.
