Vergil's Motivation

One of the best Netflix animated shows I have seen in a while! It is an adaptation of the book written by Guillermo Del Toro. I was getting a little bored watching the same shows and decided to watch something else for a change and this show caught my attention. Watched it with zero expectations and came out absolutely breathtaken! Honestly I wasnt a fan of trolls but I watched it solely because of the late Anton Yelchin whom I was a massive fan of. But after finishing the first episode, I had a really good feeling I was going to fully enjoy the whole series. And I did! Bravo Dreamworks! I remember scrolling through the whole series and there was tons of episodes I had to catch up on. But most of the episodes were incredible nonetheless. The show is somewhat kid friendly though there were a few scenes where it got pretty dark even for me as an adult I felt a little uncomfortable watching it. I guess I wasn't used to seeing dark things happening in animated shows especially since it was targeted to kids. But the show is worth the watch! No spoilers! I want people to watch it with zero expectations and enjoy it just like i did! P.S if you're planning on reading the book, just be aware that the book is gnarly and darker as compared to the series. Series is a must watch!

Utterly disappointed with this movie. I know this is their last movie so I watched it with high hopes. Hoping that it would end in justice and closure. Buuuuuuuuuut, wow. The disappointment is just immeasurable. First of, Jim is always unsure and doubtful of himself about being the Trollhunter. Like every ten minutes he had to bring it up. Like after he went through? He's still asking that? I love seeing him embrace his character and title but in this movie, he is just so doubtful its really annoying at times. The Trollhunter is supposed to be looked up upon. But its hard to follow a leader that is doubtful. Well yeah he's a kid. He's went through too much for a kid his age. But come on, for their last movie, this is the best they can do? Okay I'm done with Jim's side. Moving on to Strickler. Oh man, really wished they could've handled his death a little bit more professional. He really died for nothing. Just boom exploded himself and the titan just walked away unscathed. I was pissed. He is one of my, if not, favorite characters in the series. And they just off him like that. I love the idea of him sacrificing himself but this is just absurd. Also the whole Troll marrying human was a little odd but I'd like to see at least how they handled that But I guess we won't see that since they choose to kill of Strickler. Waste. Douxie as well, after watching Wizards, I was really hoping he would be a big part of the movie. Like a co-leader or something. It was such a disappointment to see such a skilled wizard be a sideline character. What's the harm to use a few extra spells to help make things better? He is very underused in this movie. Nari is a great inclusion in the movie. Her sacrifice means something. And not to mention hiw badass her fight was with Skrael . Even more so she carried the whole movie and Jim was supposed to do that! Nomura's death is bone chilling but honestly I don't see her being at the end of the movie. She doesn't seem like she wants to be involved in anything. Now i guess we'll talk about Steve.. Um yeah, male pregnancy. I don't even know how to start this. I love how they are including stuff like this in animated shows but.. It got me a little disturbed maybe, just maybe because of the alienxhuman . I don't even know. But that is not the biggest issue in the movie. Its the ending... Yes, everybody has to agree that THAT is the biggest flaw in the movie. It would have much better if they just let Toby die. I know I'm sounding a little bit harsh right now but its definitely realistic than the ending that we got. I mean, going back in time just to pass the mantle over to his best friend? Who he was supposed to be protecting? Its like saying, "Sorry, bro. Bular, Gunmar, the Arcane Order, all the other villains I have ever fought in my previous life is yours to handle. Not my problem anymore." Like literally what the heck? That was not a good ending for me. I have watched this show from the very beginning and after seeing that joke of an ending, it felt like as if all the things that he did to prove and redeem himself just goes down the drain. It didnt feel right. As much as wanted to give it a 1 star, I feel like its not totally a mess. Its just full of flaws that needed some work. Especially since this is their last movie, I couldn't help but think that they rushed it last minute because of a deadline or something. I really trusted DreamWorks. Let this be a lesson NOT to keep your hopes up too high because the disapppointment will never go away.

Remembered watching this amazing show when I was younger. 10 out of 10 for me! The music, the characters, voice acting, the animation, the story and message. Perfect! I love to start of by saying Eli is a likeable character (even though sometimes he can get a bit annoying provoking his enemies) but I love his leadership skills and sending out a good message to other fellow slingers in slugterra. Trixie, Kord and Prompto are fine as well. Trixie being a smart sharpshooter slinger and Kord being the tech genius. Prompto ticked me off almost most of the time because of his behavior. But in every group, there is always a member of the team that has that. I also am aware that some people want Trixie and Eli to have a romantic relationship , but believe it or not, I like the idea of not including any romantic love story in the show since Eli is solely focused on keeping Slugterra safe from harm. I mean the show has been doing so well without any lovey dovey romance here and there. So yeah. I honestly wished they included Junjie in the latest episodes but whatever. Can't always get what we want. The betrayal arc on Twist and Tad is a little bit old for me. I remember how shocked i was when Twist betrayed the gang but honestly I feel like Tad's betrayal is wack. Like i said to myself, "This again?" Like the writers didn't know what to do with him or have no more ideas so they went with the betrayal move again. Really wished they could work on that to be honest. When I first watched the show, I can't help but to think that it reminded me of Pokemon but dang the slugs are hella adorable and unique! Love the creativity in the various types of slugs in the show. Side characters such as Dana and The Gentlemen is a great addition! Also to include the Shadow Clan creatures looks so badass! Like the most badass, well designed creatures i have seen in an animated show! Bravo really! I know its been almost 5 years but I really really hope they can continue the show. One of the best animated shows I have watched in my life. Would be a real waste if they dropped the show now. Edit: just read the 1 star comments and was baffled. How can you even think these cute adorable little slugs are disgusting? Maybe the ghouls yeah but the normal slugs like Burpy? Get a grip man. Some even saying its a pokemon rip off like how? Its not the same thing. They're just slinging slugs. I swear some people just hate for no reason

My favorite show on Netflix! I'm so grateful I watched. (And cant believe I haven't left a review after so many years. But here goes. Got really drawn to the characters since they first episode. Berlin's leadership may seem a bit questionable at first but at least he have things under control. Nairobi has a optimistic nature that keeps the group together (my favorite girl) and she just has this vibe that you can't hate. Tokyo, well, I don't really like her but I can understand why people do like her. She's sassy and quite attractive at times. Even though she is a pain most of the time. I can keep going but it will take forever. Moving on to the plot. Honestly, I was a LITTLE bored at some point of the show like where the heck is this going? But when things go down, man, they never fail to disappoint! Professors brilliant plans and his attitude really makes the show fun. Not only that the entire gang has a close bond that makes them look like family. One of the many special things about the series. I am a huge fan of the series and will definitely be looking forward to their upcoming projects. Berlin's spin off let's go!

💫💫💫💫💫 Best LGBTQ+ show i have ever watched in my life! (Some spoilers up ahead!!) From the cast, to the music, to the pacing of the story. Everything is just *Chefs kiss* I love topics about dealing with sexuality especially when it comes to royalty and its such a heartwarming thing to see since it doesn't happen very often. I'm really glad I gave this a watch. Wilhelm and Simon have such incredible chemistry and I love how they didnt portray Wilhelm as an a**hole prince like what happened at the start of the show. (not that its his fault) and also how cute was he to introduce himself to Simon when everyone should already know who he is.😂 Love the characters dynamics and their relationships. I don't think I hate any character in this show besides August. The rest just have a special place in my heart even though they are the side characters. Characters like Madison, Simon's friends, Ayub and Rosh really grew on me. Erik's death honestly shocked all of us. I seriously hoped it didnt happen so quick. Like you never know what you've until its gone. He's such an important person, a good brother and a friend to Wilhelm and the emotions Wilhelm felt could be felt through us as well. And Wilhelm and Simon's first time was sweet and awkward at first but It felt real, like I'm actually there watching them 😳 And their break up didnt hit me until Simon said, "I don't want to be anyone's secret." Oh gosh, that part killed me. 😖 Seriously for such young actors they are incredibly talented. Its hard not to bingewatch it. This show deserves the full love that they got! Edit: season 2 is coming and I'm really looking forward to it! I really hope the next season doesn't flop like most of the other netflix shows ive followed for so long. I really have high hopes for this show.

I am really glad to see tons of amazing reviews this show received. As it should.. Incredible animation, facial expression by the characters, perfect soundtrack, incredible storytelling, perfect character design, flawless fight scenes.. I can keep going on.. It deserves an incredible rating. Believe me the emotions I felt after watching the series is nothing I've ever felt before. I really felt so much for Jinx watching her journey as a kid. Really wished things could go different with her and somehow change her into a better person. But welp.. Jinx is Jinx. She is perfect nonetheless. Kept bingewatching the series over and over again. It was just too damn good!!! 10/10 TOOTS!
