This game is honestly one of my favorite games ever. SPOILER WARNING, if you somehow don't know what this game is about almost 4 years after its release, then here's your warning. This game pulls off everything it does perfectly, it puts you into a world of cute girls, and anime and makes you very comfortable with that world, right before ripping it away and putting you into a world of horror. Sayori's death scene is very effective, it's the perfect transition from cutesy to horror. It makes you worried for her because Sayori is the first character you're introduced to and you learn more about Sayori than any other girl (other than Monika) and when you learn about her depression and her struggle to even live, it hits you right in the feels. And at that point you don't wanna leave her because Sayori needs help, and you wanna be that help. But once the day of the festival rolls around and she isn't there you begin to worry, and once you open that door and see that she's commit suicide, it makes you so scared and so sad. It's so effective and once you beat the game, you don't really feel like you "won". You feel empty, it's just as Monika says "There is no happiness in the Literature Club". I played this game very early into its lifetime so I was genuinely shocked when it turned into horror. This game is so good at making you feel comfortable and then ripping it away from you. This is honestly one of the best games ever made in my opinion. DDLC was influential on my life and because of it I never look at anything on a surface level, I always try to look deeper now. I love DDLC and I have a legit playthrough probably twice every month. This is a game that will always stick with me. For now and for forever.
