Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is a fresh iteration of Spider-Man. Unlike any other film, Peter Parker isn't the lead -- it's Miles Morales. The film is visually stunning, acting is great and it's overall just a great time. This is the first time in along time that I've walked out of film just in general thinking how amazing the film was, and how much I wanted to see it once more. The film features other Spider-People from other alternate Earths, iconic Spider-Man villains and Easter Eggs for those hardcore Spider-Man fans to recognize while they're experiencing this breathtaking Spider-Man journey.
Some other Spider-People that Miles interacts with are - Peter B. Parker (aka Spider-Man), Gwen Stacy (aka Spider-Gwen/Woman), Peter Porker (aka Spider-Ham), Peter Parker (Spider-Noir) and Peni Parker and SP//DR.
Like I've previously mentioned, this film is visually stunning. If you couldn't tell by the trailers, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse looks like it was ripped straight from a comic-book. Sony Pictures Animation took their time on this one, literally. It took one animator a week to animate one second of the close to two hour runtime. Props to everyone who worked on this film!
If you're on the fence about seeing this film, or you have and considering going to see it again, I would highly suggest you fork out the extra bit of cash to go see this once again. Don't miss seeing this one in theaters!
Not to mention that Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has been nominated for Best Animated Feature at the Oscars, at the 72nd British Film Academy Awards it won Best Animated Film, it also won best Animated Film at the Golden Globes and at Best Animated Film at BAFTA. If it's won this many awards, it must be good, right? Yes, of course. Like I've already mentioned, it's amazing.
Final Score: 9.5/10!
