Great storyline, superb acting. Intriguing, interesting, moving. It makes you think and realize how dysfunctional families can be, and how often, a person with a terrible childhood can’t choose an adult healthy path. A terrible father, a mother supporting her husband instead of protecting their children, doing terrible things as consequence. One son who never heal and move on, others who forget but carry the heavy weight and the scars either way. And the “good son”, the one who try to support and fix everything and everyone. And the thing is, how far can people go, only to maintain appearances, and a good family name. How far, and how much hypocrisy can people endure, with without paying a too much of a price. And everything happening in beautiful locations, but where its habitants suffer in different ways. The acting is incredible, Ben Mendelson, Kyle Chandler and Sam Shepard, what a treat!! But everyone in this series it’s just perfect.

Excellent casting, with great performances. This series doesn’t show a romantic, shallow or simplistic perspective of the cocaine trafficking business. The whole mood is dark, suspenseful, cruel and raw, but also sophisticated. It shows the terrible and unexpected consequences of the trafficking, onto all the people involved on different levels, but that suffer anyway and in different ways. The rythme never disappoints and shows a masterpiece in terms of story telling, playing with the past, the present and the different perspectives among the protagonists. Highly recommended.
