Day of the dead has a recycled premise from the previous living dead films and doesnt really add anything to the genre. Seeing the zombie invasion from the military perspective is an interesting storyline but the film takes place after the zombie invasion and the humans clearly have already lost so you are left wishing they would have shown the actual war instead of the aftermath.
