Classic film. This was the film after which Vijay's career reached its heights. Director ARM never makes us feel bored throughout the film. The comedy scenes of Vijay, Kajal, and Sathyan are nice and cute. Action scenes are top-notch. The villain- Vidyut Jamwal.... hats off!!! Harris BGM and songs- CLASSIC!!! I literally listen to the Jagadish on Mission BGM on Spotify when I feel bored. Great film. Must watch for all ages. I have already watched it 7 times, but each time got goosebumps. Thuppaki rating- 9.6/10. No idea why it got only 7.9. It deserves at least 8.5.

You won't be able to enjoy this film if you aren't a Thalapthy fan. Looking from the perspective of the Vijay-ARM combo; after giving two fabulous THUPPAKI and KATHTHI, SARKAR will surely be a disappointment. The storyline is okay-ish. ARM fails to deliver as he shows Vijay's over heroism. Songs are not that good. Villain switches roles- first the father and his daughter poisoned him to become the next villain. The ending scene was garbage- when Vijay gives up his position in politics and decides to quit; after seeing that scene it seemed like that there was no point in the whole film. The only positive point in this film is the message they tried to convey and Komallavalli's character which was played really well. Keerthy Suresh also did a good job. Fight scenes are not bad. Screenplay and emotional scenes made this film watchable. SARKAR ratings- 7.2/10

This movie has - infinity chances of being a hit. SUPER COMEDY TRASH FILM. You can watch this maybe only for Ajith. 75 percent of the scenes have no logic- the starting scene where Ajith is surrounded by almost 100 gunmen..... I think they just tried to show a Tamil version of JAMES BOND with Ajith as a hero. In every action film like Thuppaki, Kaithi, etc, the end fight scene keeps us hooked to the screen but here it was full COMEDY!!! Kajal Agarwal shouldn't have sung at the end and ruined the fight scene. VIVGAM ratings- 2.9/10

IF U CHECK, THERI HAS NO 1 STAR REVIEWS AT ALL!!! WOW!! WHEREAS THUPPAKI HAD A FEW!!! Perfect comeback for Vijay after a terrible PULI. Nice film. Family entertainer. Must watch. Even though it lacked a perfect and mass ending, THERI proves to be an engaging entertainer. 1st half- Cute scenes with daughter, Good flashback, Nice songs, TWINKLE TWINKLE COMEDY SUPERB 2nd half- Fast-paced, action-packed, emotions, end might be a disappointment for some Songs- Nice BGM- Theri feeling Acting- Fantastic Storyline- Perfectly blended with action, love, comedy, drama ATLEE SCREENPLAY CRYSTAL CLEAR AND PLEASANT TO WATCH PLEASE DO WATCH IT ON PRIME VIDEO IF U HAVEN'T YET Overall THERI rating- 8.9/10

Two stars for Santhanam comedy scenes. Otherwise, the film is below average. You wouldn't be satisfied with the songs and fight scenes and logic unless you are an Ajith fan. Till the interval, Santhanam and the brothers had kept us entertained. After Ajith left with Thamannah on the train, the film becomes boring. In the major part of the story, logic applied is 0. The end fight scene- RUBBISH. It was like 10 men hit Ajith with sticks and stuff, and Ajith got up again in 5 seconds... WOW!!! Like one of the critics said above.... it is with a hero who is like a superhuman- who can never lose and has ultimate power. VEERAM ratings- 5.7/10

I don't know why this film turned out to be a flop. It is really enjoyable. It should have been a hit. The 1st half was well blended with love, comedy, dance, action, and emotions. The 2nd half could have been better but was also good to keep us hooked till the end. Vijay did a great job- his acting was really mature. Santhanam.... top-notch comedy!!! The songs are awesome. Sathyaraj as always..... a great performance by him. Bheema had a terrific look. An engaging entertainer. Must watch. thalaiva ratings- 8/10
