I have read pretty much every Jack Reacher and enjoyed each and everyone, but this one! About a third of the way through I nearly gave in but persisted (and now wish I hadn’t). In fact I was on the penultimate chapter when I just couldn’t continue to read about how many doors there were, of what colour or where they led to. As if the plot itself isn’t convoluted enough, there’s only so much description of scene one can stomach. In the end I didn’t care if Fisher survived or not - that’s how attached I’d become to a pivotal character. Hours of my life I’ll never get back!
