An enjoyable, lighthearted escape from the stress of 2020. And, yes, I'll watch season 2. But it's nothing to write home about it. It was very cliche and predictable and, for me, Emily did not seem authentic. I can't put my finger on why. It could be partly the acting or possibly because her character just wasn't quite right. She was supposed to be a marketing exec with a masters but she seemed more like an intern to me, both professionally and personally...a 22 year old, naรฏve, newbie in Paris. Something was just too simplistic and bubbly about Emily when moving to a new country, knowing no one, and starting a new job there all without knowing the language. She should have had more challenges and they should have been explored more. I think that we would have been able to better connect with the character if she was more authentic. So that threw me off. But, it was good enough and I'll be back for season 2.
