Looks like people either loved this movie or hated it. I am not a fan of very weird or surreal movies. They tire me out and bore me and seem pretentious and incapable of delivering a solid character driven story. That being said, this movie was so well done that it kept me and my wife watching for two-plus hours. I gave up on the thing "meaning anything" in the traditional sense, but it did seem very very much like a dream. Or several dreams. And very artfully constructed. Oh yeah, I'm glad the director did not include any disturbing violence in the film. That would have seemed exploitive and pointless. I've never been shot in a dream, for example, and I hope you haven't either, so if someone were shot in this film, it would have spoiled it. For potential viewers on the fence about watching it, I'd recommend giving it 20 minutes. If you aren't curious enough to continue by then grab the clicker.
