if you are interested and involved in Western Civilizations and its ideas, this a "must have" book. It sparkles with ideas that captivate the engaged and inquiring mind. It is to help you know and understand what Western Civilization really is.

This is a very insightful book about being an F-4 pilot. Technically well written and well structured, which makes for an excellent read. Each chapter of this book is fascinating -even the one on flying the simulator! The author also captures the mood and moment of the period. This is a must-have book.

The writer of an enjoyable travel book takes them with you on their journey. But it is hard with airline trips. Alexander Frater overcomes this handicap and the journey is most enjoyable.

It is one test, accept it is that. The question that must be asked is this: "Did it provide insight(s) for the taker?" Only the taker can know that. There are other tests to explore - MBTI, DISC and so on. The value of any test is in the insight(s) provided. No craftsperson uses just one tool.

Written in 1955 this a period piece. It is a compelling story that eloquently speaks of a time past. How we come to know the WREN through the narrator, that journey is well worth the taking.

German cuisine often overlooked. After all, I think about the great dishes of France, the simplicity of Italian and Greece food and the wonderful recipes of Spain. All delight. So, why go north to Germany? Explore this book and open up new and exciting culinary experiences.

This series, the best of the BBC, came out in the bi-centenary years. It matched exactly as I was studying American politics at "A" level. Personally, it expressed what I thought was best about - warts and all including the Vietnam War. Not then, perfect but, with wisdom, what could be possible, what could be inspirational. My optimism may be jade but the joy I enjoyed when I first saw this series remains pristine despite the years and all that has since followed.

A wonderfully informative read. Full of interesting information and yet a sense of why nature is so meaningful. The illustrations are just a delight. A beautifully produced book. For that reason alone it should have a place on one's book-shelf. Just to treasure. However, if like me, you delight at those tantalising glimpses of the shy Jenny Wren then this another good reason why this a book is a must.
