Unfortunately this highly predictable, star studded romp into a corrupt and melancholy, not-so-distant future dystopian Miami has more surface shine than actual content, despite it being two and a half hours long. Many of the characters played are sadly 1 dimensional despite being played by excellent actors, and the main character Mae offers little connectivity to the audience nor her “love interest”, making the entire plot feel forced. It was somewhat ill paced and overall I was just waiting for the final half hour to be over. The director’s vision and set making did make this movie bearable, it definitely sunk to the depths of my memory and will likely be forgotten.
