cannot understand why showing of this wonderful play are blocked in the u.k we made it - the BBC studios shown in it not longer exists now it was pulled down- .i think maybe the BBC have something against the Actor Alan Dobie as very little of his wonderful is re-shown or indeed on I-Player they give most talented people Nights where their works are shown with a documentary added at 88 he more than deserves that-if Talking Pictures Tv can give him a special FILM showing to mark his birthday this why can't the BBC -perhaps they are waiting for his 90th -thank you

Actor Alan Dobie is the only Prince Anderi Bolkonsky for me thoughtful, kind yet determined he tries to do what's right - what's best even though he loses in love -we who watched back then loved him we still do... Real talent -raw-natural earthy Alan Dobie had back then my heart in his hands we cared if his Prince lived or died some men don't need to take their clothes off to make a woman feel desire for them they can do it with their eyes - Alan Dobie is such a man -and that voice well, there's none like it---
