While Jolie didn't exactly look or sound like La Callas, perhaps that was impossible, she did get her mannerisms right and she generated powerful emotions. It made me cry for Maria, perhaps the greatest of all time, whose life was such a mixture of joy, greatness and sorrow. So on that score the film was a success and I give it 5 stars.

Extraodinary nail biter. Not a dull moment in the entire series. Superbly played by every character. This is a mini-series for the ages. Not to be missed.

This is well worth watching. The lead actors are excellent and the story line fascinating as their fears and desires become evident. Set in a beautiful area of northern California. Several different stories overlap as the characters react with one another and their histories are revealed. Well done.

An extraordinarily fine film, Ms Braga is superb as the strong willed cancer survivor who won't back down under pressure from a construction company who want her out of her apartment. She is the only tenant left and refuses to accept an offer of 3 million reales. Amazing performance by Ms Braga.

Excellent show. Terrific actors, great story and marvelous locations.

Exciting film well played with marvelous sweeping photograph. About a time when Spain was a mess.

Most memorable moment was Elisabeth Moss in the water pushing the cut up body of her viscious husband down the river. A rather unlikely outcome but nevertheless a well performed film in most respects.
