Thought it was excellent. Having never read the book or seen the original Hitchcock movie with Sir Laurence Olivier and Joan Fontaine, I had no preconceived notions on this version. I thought Lily James was excellent as the “new” Mrs. de Winter and Arnie Hammer, as handsome as he is, as Maxim de Winter, was very good, but a bit stiff. Of course, Kirstin Scott Thomas as Mrs. Danvers was superb. I look forward to seeing the original movie that won an academy award for Best Picture as well as Best Cinematography in 1941. Also, both leads were nominated for best actor/actress in a leading role but both lost. This version is definitely worth the watch.
