If you've ever played any one of these games from the first to the multiplayer you can't watch it and not love it. They really hit every note and it's just loaded with Easter eggs galore! I would have to watch it several times to catch even half of them. What I think is great is they left so many things for season 2 and hopefully beyond. There was I think only one super mutant shown peripheraly but never really touched upon the fact it was there or what it was. Almost all the weapons and items were spot on with a couple exceptions such as the hand saw looked like a child's version of a toy chainsaw with beads tied together instead of actual sharp teeth. That was close but not exactly like it was in the games. All the foods and drugs were just awesome to see be brought to life. It was surreal to see these things in a live action show. To think I would ever see the day these things I spent countless hours hoarding and scavenging for being created in real life and on a TV show is something I could never have dreamed I would ever see. The fact it has been brought to life has me over the moon with a giddy child like anticipation & excitement almost as if Santa was delivering me fireworks!!!! I watched every episode twice and there was a few I watched 3 times. I cannot say enough great things about this show, from the main casting being nearly perfect to the selection of songs and how they were used to add to the gravity and impact of certain scenes and all the locations being so reminiscent and so familiar that I could not take my eyes off the screen. I've always been a tremendously huge fan of the song list and this show didn't disappoint with any aspect of bringing this game to life. In fact it's the best dramatization of any video game universe that's ever been brought to the small or big screen. It's faithful to both the core details of the game universe and dynamics of how everything fits together and right down to the smallest of things they got them right. This was totally worth waiting for. The only thing missing was someone to watch it with who I could share each amazing moment with that would appreciate it the way I do. What really surprised me was the largest mutant to make an appearance was the Gulpers?! Of all the creatures to be shown they chose that one??? They over emphasized it's size and strength in my opinion. I've always laughed at those creatures in the game. They do little or no damage and they are so easily killed. I can think of so many other better creatures such as the Mothman, the Scorchbeast would have been epic to see. Or the sheep squatch, or variations of super mutants both speaking and non speaking versions.
