Great show! Characters are credible, good acting, great costumes and convincing location. I was pleasantly surprised to hear the Romans speaking in Latin and the Germanic tribes in German. Of course Germanic languages in Roman times sounded nothing like modern day German but as far as I know there are no records of what it sounded like back then... The producers went for the best option in my opinion. The build up of the events that led to the big battle of Teutoburg Forest got me hooked from the start. A lot of historical productions are slow, this one isn't. Unfortunately, as a history nut, no single television production is (entirely) historically accurate. As mentioned before by someone else: the Roman gladius was designed to stab and it would not have been possible to chop someone's head off with, just to name something...The battle itself was over fast, too fast, the show made it seem as it was a walk in the park while in reality it was a 3 day battle. In my opinion they could have done more with it. I absolutely recommend this show. Was hooked from the beginning: started watching around 3 in the afternoon and finished at 10 in the evening the same day.

After my girlfriend finally convinced me to watch Breaking Bad (which I started to like more and more as it progressed) I was happy to find out that Saul had his own show. We started watching and before we knew we finished the five seasons... Nice to see some characters again too, like Mike and Gustavo. This show really did it for me. Everything was right. Not once did I see something that wasn't relevant or just put in to keep us viewers busy. Best show I've seen in long. Ever since The Sopranos I think I'll never watch a show with the same intensity again, but some close, really close. 'Better Call Saul' is one of these shows.

Don't expect historical accuracy, from a historical perspective the show is a joke. The acting and also the characters failed to convince me and I couldn't help seeing Frank Gallagher in the scenes with David Threlfall. Yet I found the show enjoyable and entertaining. Just look at it as entertainment, don't expect more.

Sorry folks, gave it a try but this show could not convince me... Maybe I kept comparing it to the original movie too much but it just didn't do it for me. Boring, too spun-out... Stopped watching after the first season. The highlight of this show is the opening theme.

First season was nice and enjoyable to watch, I enjoyed it at the time of release but no more than that. This however had more to do with my own expectations and not with the show: my expectations were unrealisticly high. Recently watched the first season again and it really grew on me. Now this second season is truly awesome: darker, more action (fighting scenes always have been super on this show!) and the characters as well as the events in the story are getting to me much more in comparison to the first season... So far 'Knightfall' really outdid itself! Can't wait for S2 ep5.
