Outstanding performaces by Davis and Boseman. One could easily forget it is a performance by Davis and imagine how Ma Rainey was. I was particularly impressed how fearless she was of the white folks in that era who were supposedly in charge of her and her music.. She was in charge of her and refused to let hem forget it. Notsire howtruethestory was about her stuttering nephew. She refused to permit anyone from giving him an opportunity. That scene brought tears to my eyes. We should takes lessons from this!!!!! I enjoyed this immensely. A must see!!! I see some awards-Some posthumously ones as well!!!
