It didnt follow the source material. It tried to push the idea that captain marvel is the end all be all of the MCU. The movie is slow and tries to be a 90s buddy cop movie and fails. No personality or life given to the character. The way fury loses his eye was silly. There is no direction or consistency or character growth what so ever. All the secondary characters were good but because the lead was so bad it ruined everything.
