As uninspired as hollywood action movie can get, story is dumb, plotholes are plenty. >plotholes: 1. why do they even need to hunt him when he's already being taken to the safe house they wanted? 2. can't the house keeper just shoot rookie or the rogue in the back, instead of going into messy hand combat with him? 3. The top commander just randomly murders other higher officiers not knowing anything for no purpose other than to show to the audience he's baddie, admits to rookie agent of him on the file showing he's baddie?... while the rookie just blindly believes in a rogue, traitor, man under hunt and takes his side? for what? because Danzel Washington looks charming? 4. if the hunters are also CIA, can't they make it into a friendly talk and then suddenly shoot and kill situation, rather than guns blazing assaulting, even directly on well defended and armed safe house? 5. If they're also of the CIA, how could the rookie get away with the rogue agent? aren't they also supposed to know the structure including back door, escape route of the safe house they're assaulting, otherwise how did they win against a well guarded secret safe house? 6. if a simple leak of the file is already enough to cause the effects as in the end of the movie, can't the rogue just directly leak it, or part of the files on internet or any where to cause trouble for the commander hunting him, during the several days they're on the run, during the time when he managed to get away from the rookie agent? instead of running for life keeping and taking it.

It set great foundation for a great story with lively and well depicted characters, yet going nowhere. Like a buzz kill as if trolling the audience, it ends abruptly in the middle while frustratingly and insultingly trying to act pretentious. No your shtty story is not art like the ones in the plot, and your plot simply sucks. Synopsis: an art dealer assistant found numerous pieces of paint worth of millions by a reclusive old man having died alone living upper floor, while bidding and exhibition, selling and buying of these paint move forwards, most of the people having viewed the paint extensively start dying one by one strangely. Then the movie just ends there with a street vendor selling some of the lost paint for 5 dollars on street, paint lost from the first death of the movie, of a driver transporting the paint.

Formula like US comic plot line, poor guy getting super power conveniently defeating bad evil guy even more conveniently. Literally like reading a comic for 6 year olds with the amount of plot holes and forced convenient plot developments, what happened to "based on comic but shot in mature tone"? ##### synopsis Aliens coming form comet symbiotes with protagonist who sneaked into the lab doing the research on it as he turns out to be a perfect match, after losing his job, house and girlfriend. Meanwhile other alien dropped to Malaysia from comet taking different host humans arrived in and symbiotes with the lead scientist and owner of lab and rocket, on which he/it intends to use to bring all its siblings onto earth, which was stopped by protagonist and the alien hosted in him. His girlfriend played the kryptonite like sound of specific hertz in the crucial moment and helped him in the fight. .

A detective story that turns into brainless action thriller half way through and ends in the most boring predictable manner. ##### synopsis A serial killer completing several brutal murders while taunting the main detective every way around by showing up around him, leading to the detective finding out he has photophobia, and another rookie police getting killed in the chase, he also abducted the detective's neglected wife and kid for his next targets. Searching around hospitals the detective finds the patient whose house has a room full of the murder plans and records but is knocked out and trapped in an underground cell to finish a puzzle picture, which shows a password once completed. Getting out of the cell with the password to the door of the cell, a chase leads to them at each other's gun point and the wife and kid as hostage, where the other police following his leads after his disappearance appear in time to arrest the now escaping killer. During his capture the killer taunted him about killing the inner side of his wife by neglecting her thus he wants to complete his next murder with him together and in the final scene the detective learns to spend more time with his family. The doctor pointing them to the killer's address is revealed to be his sister, they're the only surviving children of a brutal murder. The doctor kills the killer in his sleep on a hospital bed after the arrest saying the photophobia is psychological while the kid of the detective starts to show signs of light sensitivity.

Another by the formula horror film making you wonder why you ever even want to watch movie of this genre again as every single one of them seemed to start converging on a single formula that you see how it ends from miles away, not even mentioning that ending mostly will never make sense if anyone can think about it for 5 more seconds. ##### synopsis With help of a witch Man made deal with evil to became rich. Years later when he's suddenly bankrupt and on hospital bed from severe unknown illness, his siblings went back to his old villa looking for things to sell, where they opened a sealed underground cell and was possessed and killed one by one after a lot of jump scares and struggles. It was revealed the man refused to pay souls from sacrifices of his daughter and murdered buried the witch in the cell, who took some hair from the man in the struggle and cursed him. The last surviving sibling defeated the last possessed one in a struggle by stealing the doll the evil used to control them (?) and threw it into flames, while the possessed one was torturing her using one of the dolls. She then dug up the buried corpse of the witch and burnt the hair, leaving the villa finally, heavily wounded but in victorious sunlight.

As is already written in the wiki, the script was originally meant for the pilot of a tv series and was rejected thus another hurried ending was attached to it to make it a film. You can pick any random part and consider it a dream, or someone as an illusion of another's imagination, and then force everything to make sense. Otherwise it is just as it was originally intended, an unfinished plot with many loose openings waiting to be further developed and explained by following episodes before jumping to the ending. The fact this kind of movie gets this much high praise is pathetic and hilarious at the same time, it's like when Einstein doodles some random numbers and 1000 critics jump out screaming "deep!" to make themselves sound smart or credible when even the original author didn't mean it. If you or any audience enjoy making up stories or explaining and coming up new plot, why not write your own one rather than watching this movie. ##### synopsis Aspiring actress meets another girl that lost her memory from a car accident that seemed to be intentionally created to kill her. Actress lets girl stay and helps her to get her memory back by taking her around, following bits of names and address that came familiar to her, which eventually led them to finding a decaying dead body on a bed in a home and they attracted to each other and having sex. One of the girl suddenly disappears and the plot changes to(probably goes back in time) where the aspiring actress was dating the girl, who is an actual successful actress but wants to end their relationship and to marry a young director. Aspiring actress then hires a gang to murder the girl, before killing herself on bed in her own house, after seeing some disorienting loud illusions.

How tf could this be a movie is beyond me. An interesting setting with no story or emotion, morality explored. ##### synopsis Man arrives in Bali with his wife to visit his pregnant sister before he dies. Struggling with the emotion of fear of death, man threw a tantrum, wife wanders into crowded bar and almost has sex/gets raped. Next day man asks wife to move on and to go back to Japan as it's better than they being directly separated by death. Wife talks with another guy in coffee shop, meets a "beach boy/gigolo", walks with him on beach, gets lured into chasing where she's forced down and the resisting turns into sex. Next day she goes back and her sister bears child. After a sudden passionate sex with wife, man wakes up the next day and stumbles. In the final scene man walks into sea calling his wife, who sits on the beach watches with no reaction.

Ordinary revenge story, but with more characterization of the bad guy with some back and forth struggle between them as the avenger doesn't want to kill the bad guy easily and lets him go multiple times, and that's pretty much about it. The characters are cliched and two dimensional, the gore or horror, R18 part is kindergarten level compared to the likes of Martyrs, A Serbian Film, not really sure where the praise like "breaking boundaries" came from. The film doesn't ever pretend to care about whether the audience still likes the protagonist or not like most mass oriented or orienting films usually do, e.g., by trying to justify the deeds of the protagonist with "moving" or memory scenes or un-personify the bad guy with even more evil behavior or inhuman thoughts, or all together making the movie less realistic like with goofy impractical but visually striking weapons like chainsaws, etc, (as film produces naturally would want wider audience) , which probably strikes most people off guard and thus gives the false impression of it being better or deeper than it actually is.
