I wish more period dramas were made with more modern ideas. There definitely isn't no older ideals but they're toned back to be a smidgen more palatable. I like that it highlights that it is very much not historically accurate at the start. It seems like some people who give bad ratings maybe don't know how to read and weren't able to see that bit at the start. Ah well!

Fascinating watch. The detective episode is boring but the rest, especially first four episodes are intoxicating. The fourth episode especially put us in a trance. Be careful if you're suffering from mental illness though when you watch this. It might bring up some things.

Incredible performances and spot on humor and drama. This movie is so perfectly in it's niche I can't believe it exists. Hilarious and enjoyable art that both keeps you in the film and pulls you out telling you of it's self awareness (most notably the music does this). Deserves at least one watch. It does well to focus on what it is trying to accomplish, and not more. There is a lot more that can be explored but the movie doesn't try to "do it all" and it does well for it's focus. Highly recommended.

Amazing. The Office and Monty Python with vampires.

This show is so shallow and boring? The art style is lackluster. It relies a lot on shock and grotesque scenes in a very cringy way. Feels like something a 16 year-old would dream up and think it was deep or revolutionary. Really hard to get through the episodes.

Better than the trailer makes it seem. Hits it's stride a few episodes in, like some of the character development, and there is some unexpected general humor outside of the stuff related to the themes you'd expect. We were pleasantly surprised and liked the references, the felt deeper than you'd see in a show that wasn't made by the same people it was portraying. I'm happy things like this exist and looking forward to seeing how they push it further and include more interesting characters next season.
