Walt Disney made a wonderful film based on Esther Forbes fictional story of Johnny Tremain set in Boston tea party days at the beginning of the Revolutionary War vs Great Britain and King George III. I love the movie and recommend it as great family viewing and an excuse to teach young ones from age five up through college aged children about the very beginning of the United States of America.

This was fascinating collection of vignettes take you on a beautifully photographed series of unrelated stories set in the old west. The casts and acting were superb and the episodes range from light hearted to eerie, startling, and leaves one searching for answers .... well worth watching multiple times.

I first saw this movie in the MGM GRAND hotel in Las Vegas when they had a movie theater featuring MGM classics. I immediately purchased the DVD to relive the great music, the nostalgic setting of family and friends and boy-next-door romance. Set in St. Louis when it was about to host the world fair. A time when long-distance calls were costly and you would have to wait for the operator to make your connection happen. I still watch this great musical to enjoy happier simpler family times. Watch and savor!

I just watched this movie for first time since 20 years or more ago. I always recommend re-watching classics and include grand children when time is right to see what a real epic looks like; 8,000 extras and when it was released this film won the most academy awards (11) up to that time and wasn’t challenged until Titanic came along many years later. Ben-Hur is fiction but so worth watching set in the time of Caesar Augustus and of the ministry of Jesus Christ. Watch it; with your family and friends.

I first saw this film was in 1965, it’s release year. The opening scene in the beautiful Salzburg (it’s surrounding hills and vistas) moved me immediately and I have continued to enjoy this musical again and again over the years. And every time I visit Salzburg Austria to enjoy Mozart and all the wonderful sights I always book a “Sound of Music” tour and invariably there are young girls on our tour bus regaling us with some of the great songs in the movie. The fact that Maria and the Von Trapp family are and we’re real added to my interest in the film.

Casablanca is my all time favorite movie... every line in it is memorable and the cast! 100% five star acting. This is one of three movies that I watch over and over and I will continue to do so!

This movie is an epic’s epic.... filmed and acted beautifully it should be enjoyed by all generations. Biblical sagas such as this can be great teaching tools that can provoke religious discussion and instruction.
