I wonder if anybody remembers when the show's characters switched from the fish-bowl helmets, that always fogged up, to the "force field helmets." It was simply a loop of material attached to a collar with a few dials attached below the collar for effect. The loop started from one side of the collar and swept up over the wearer's head and reattached on the opposite side of the coller. The force field was allegedly generated from this loop to fully protect the wearer's head. I recall a couple of shows where these were very hesitantly "tested" in space and, I believe, on a planet that allegedly had a noxious atmosphere, It was a really hookey prop and, frankly, I really lost interest in the show when that change was made. Anybody else remember that? I'm curious how you might have felt about this prop.
