The music makes it an entertaining watch. BUT its taken way too many liberties with reality. Queens entire history and a sketch of Freddie’s personality can be drawn if you are interested enough to go through the plethora of documentaries and scores of interviews available on YouTube. Being an ardent Queen and Freddie fan I had done that but most young people watching probably won’t. It portrays Freddie as a tragic and lost character and while that may have been a facet of his life he appeared to be so much more then that. More sure of who he was and how he wanted to live then most people. That’s what made him extraordinary. I found the creative liberties taken with the truth downright deceitful and left the cinema feeling disappointed that the surviving members of Queen had given this their blessing
