For the most part Dan shows a pretension of being left out by the empty materialism and depressive hedonia(an inability to do anything else except pursue pleasure) of this century. While Shiuli remains a breeding ground for Dan yielding passionately from her deathbed. Having said that the movie in its entirety sets a stage where the conflict between idealism and realism are portrayed through subtle human actions. The background score and its use of naturalism to chart out a subjective reality is beyond the purview of Bollywood movies and the expectation of most of the Indian audience. This is the reason why only six people turned up when my friend went to the theater with a capacity of 300(I watched it at my home).
