I have only seen this once when it popped up on a rare occasion on British television some years ago. However, I intend to rectify that neglect by buying the DVD as soon as I can. I applaud Tracey's bold entry into this virtually taboo area of comedy with her conception of the central idea of the tale.
I once encountered Tracey herself in the pub nearby to 'The Young Vic Theatre' in London shortly after seeing her captivating performance as Mina in 'Dracula' while in the company of my sister at Christmas in 1980. Unfortunately at the time, I was taking the Dracula subject very seriously and questioned the company's send up approach to the Deane & Balderston script of the play. Sorry, Tracey! All the same, your sexy portrayal did make up for the otherwise OTT direction of this production and I am very glad I had been there to see it.
